An AI-powered YouTube search engine
AddContext is touted as an AI chatbot service for YouTube influencers, podcasters, and content creators. This web-based service enables YouTubers to create AI-powered assistants that interact with their YouTube channels, podcasts, reviews, comments, and more.
However, it’s really more of a hosting service that also transcribes content so that they can find clips and keywords in real time. So, it’s more of a mix between a search engine and an AI transcription tool like Assembly AI or Transcriber Pro.
How does it work?
Despite its name, AddContext doesn’t really add any context to any of the YouTube content it showcases. It simply relays existing information from the original YouTube channel, scouring through podcasts, videos, descriptions, comments, and reviews. Content creators can use this service to host their YouTube channel information and browse through ready-made AI chatbots or create their own for a fee.
What can it do?
AddContext hosts up to 250 hours of YouTube content (including full playlists) and transcribes it. Content creators can customize their chatbot within minutes so that they, their partners, and even their audiences can find specific moments within YouTube videos. Users can also find answers to relevant questions in podcasts, shows, blogs, and reviews.
Needs some work
Powered by OpenAI, AddContext has the potential to speed up content creators’ work tremendously. As of yet, it has considerable drawbacks, such as the fact that the library of ready-made chatbots isn’t accessible. Users also need to subscribe to a payment plan before they can try it. The bot isn’t much more interactive or clever than a regular search engine.
